Hello everyone. It's Wayne here from eStim Systems and yet again I'm in a hotel room strange enough again in America doing a podcast recording. I think the last time I actually did a podcast recording I was in Hollywood, and this time I'm on the other side of the States. I'm actually in Orlando and technically I'm on holiday, but yes, I did sneak the podcasting gear in. So things keep getting better. Estim is now over 20 years old. Back in September, the 10th 2004, we had our first order, and that makes us 20 years old. Things have gone from strength to strength. We've had ups and downs on the way, but we're still here and we're still enjoying ourselves and we're still enjoying producing products and ideas for people to play with, and it's great fun.
Speaker 1:This podcast was originally designed as being something that was supposed to be a little bit generic. I didn't want it turning into just an advert for eastim systems and actually that became quite hard. Because you do something every single day and it is your life and, in our case, our business. It's hard to try and separate out little bits of that. I'm not going to bother anymore. I'm simply going to do a podcast every so often about what we are doing as eastim systems. So if you feel that this is going to turn into an advert for eastim systems hopefully it's not going to be an advert for our products by 2b it's possibly more realistic to say that this is what we do on a day-to-day basis. So we're going to just throw caution to the winds and just talk about e-stim and e-stim systems and what we get up to now.
Speaker 1:I've already mentioned it's been a little bit of a while since I've recorded an actual podcast, mainly because we have these things called holidays and they've sort of crept in, although we've managed to do two holidays with a gap in the middle. Unfortunately, running your own business, doing the classic two-week family holiday, gets a little bit difficult because of the number of things that are going on, and we also decided to do some mad things, like we started doing live streams. So the last Sunday of the month we now do a live stream and that gets converted into a podcast. So if you miss the live stream, you can go back to YouTube a couple of days later and watch us on youtube as a live stream. Or if you don't want to do that and you haven't got much time, then pick up the podcast and the podcast will be a edited version of the live stream and then, every so often, I'll produce a podcast like this, which is basically just me talking about life, the universe and everything.
Speaker 1:Now, since our little trip to hollywood, have been run off our feet, mainly because we decided to launch new products and they turned out to be rather popular and people keep buying them and we have to keep manufacturing them. In fact, they've been more popular than we expected and we're still catching up on some of the orders, so if your order's been delayed a little bit, please bear with us. We are getting there. One of the benefits of manufacturing in-house means that we know where the manufacturing is. It's that machine there, and that machine is stacked up waiting to manufacture more of the things that you're waiting for.
Speaker 1:We also came up with the bright idea of increasing our manufacturing capacity by buying a new machine, and the new machine has new bits and pieces that make it go faster and allows us to cut down the manufacturing time. However, we decided to buy it and have it installed in the time space between two holidays, and it hasn't gone completely to plan. We managed to get in the building and if you've ever visited us, we don't have any room for anything. So we had to move two machines out. We had to get rid of one machine. We then put the new machine in place of the old machine and pushed everything back in. That took us out, I think, about three days, and then we had to recode everything for the new machine, and that's a process that's still going on. And then we had to change the tooling and then we discovered some of the tooling is compatible with the tooling we had. So we've had to order, order new tooling and it's been an interesting few weeks and it's still going on. We're getting there. We're over the hump. Now we at least have the machine manufacturing and we're beginning to catch up on the things that the machine was doing, which is good. But yeah, again, I'm still going to say please bear with us if there's any delays, particularly metal work, because we're trying to catch up.
Speaker 1:We've also upgraded our YouTube studio. Hopefully you've noticed some changes on the YouTube videos we're now producing. This has allowed us to do a monthly stream, so we're now doing a monthly live stream, which is the last Sunday of the month at 5pm. We've done a couple now. The first one was not too bad. Good response from people posting comments and interacting with us. The second one was a blast because we had Joanne and joanne's reviews and her entire team on the stream and it was just a good hour of chat and comment and discussion and it was brilliant. We do actually follow joanne's review. So if you want a weekly live stream, if a monthly isn't enough, you want to go and do a weekly live stream, then joanne's reviews, just type it into youtube. She does a weekly live stream with her team on Saturday at 5pm. She does it weekly and she must be mad because she still manages to come up with interesting content every single week. I know how much effort is involved in just doing a single live stream once a month. She does it every week.
Speaker 1:We found the streaming is really useful because it allows customers to talk directly to us. So if you have any questions or comments or you want to know why we do something in a particular way, or you just want to talk, east in, then come and join the stream and come and have a chat and we can see what we can come up with. We've already had a few new ideas that have sort of copped up from conversations on those streams. Who knows what else might happen, but we're going to keep on doing the streaming. We're also building up a large quantity of how-to videos and product description videos, which will gradually be filtering into our systems over the next few months, mainly because we feel that we need to give you as many different ways of understanding how Easton works and how to understand how to get the best out of our products. Doing it via YouTube channels makes it so much easier providing, of course, we can stick within YouTube's rules. So, unfortunately, you're not going to get some pretty lady or some hunk of a guy demonstrating how to do something, because YouTube will see that and throw us off the channel. As Joanne puts it, you get stuck in the naughty corner. So we still have to keep well within YouTube's rules. So there's certain things we can't do, but most things we can discuss. So if you've got any questions or video ideas that you want us to do, then please consider leaving them in the comments below or just drop us an email. We do read all the comments and we will try to respond to everything that is posted, and we do get ideas from what people have posted. So it gives you an opportunity to guide us in the direction that will help you the most.
Speaker 1:Lastly, we've got our next big show coming up, which is going to be Eurofame in Germany, which is in a couple of weeks time. It's going to be interesting. We've done a few Eurofames. It's a trade show, and I've already been asked are we launching anything new? And my answer to that is I'm not going to say anything, no comment. You'll have to watch some of the antics at the show to find out whether anything is new going to come up. I'm not saying anything at all, but anyway, if you are coming to Germany, please pop in and see us. I can't remember what our stand number is. We won't be that difficult to find and then, just as we arrive back, we will hit our next live stream. Literally, I think we come back on the Saturday and we'll be doing the live stream on the Sunday. So that live stream could be interesting because you might find out what we got up to in Germany. Anyway, thank you for listening.
Speaker 1:This has been a yes, another podcast. I'm still trying to find my podcasting feet, so I'm still experimenting with kit and techniques and cameras and editing and all sorts of things. So hopefully it is working. If it's not, please let me know. Please give me any comments. You have tips, ideas, anything like that. But whatever you do, please be safe and have fun. Thanks for listening. Bye. If you like what I'm doing, please consider subscribing to the podcast and, if possible, leave a review. There's various mechanisms out there on the various podcasting channels that we're now appearing, but whatever you do, please be safe and have fun, and thanks for listening. Bye.
